Mono Lake Perseid Meteor Shower and Bodie Night Photography Workshop

August is for astrophotography. During the month of August the Perseid meteor showers peak. This workshop will bring us to the shores of the incredible Mono Lake to witness and attempt to photograph this phenomenon. I have scheduled one night in Bodie as part of this trip for additional night photography opportunities.

Pre meeting Thursday August 3, 2023, 5:30 PM at San Jose Camera

• August 12^th Day 1
  • 4 PM – Meet and greet, check into hotel
  • 11 PM – 2:30 AM South Tufa preserve Perseid Meteor Shower
• August 13^th Day 2
  • 2:30 AM return to hotel for a long nap
  • 1:00 PM Image Processing – Meteor shower
  • 5:45 PM Meet at Bodie Front gate
  • 6 PM to 1 AM – Bodie night photography session
• August 14^th Day 3
  • 11:00 AM – Image processing – Milky Way
  • Sunset at Mono Lake

Workshop Fee $1199

Cancellation Policy

Putting on a workshop takes a lot of time and research, not to mention a significant amount of money for permits, fees and insurance.

• Cancellation made more than 90 days prior to the workshop is fully refundable.
• Cancellation between 90 and 45 days prior to the workshop is refundable less $450 fee.
  • The fee will be reduced to a $50.00 Administration Charge if we can fill your space.
• Cancellation 45 days or less before the workshop is non-refundable unless we fill your space.
  • If we can fill your space you will receive a refund less a $50.00 Administration fee.
