Why Death Valley in January?
The “Wolf Moon” – 2022’s first full moon, the “Wolf Moon” will be shining brightly in the skies above Death Valley During this workshop. In addition to the dramatic winter skies there will be opportunities to photograph the moonrise and moonset above the otherworldly landscape of Death Valley.
What you will learn:
This workshop is open to photographers of all levels. Time will be spent discussing photographic technique, exposure, and use of filters. There will be opportunities throughout the day for one-on-one mentoring to help you advance your photography. In addition to refining photographic skills there will be an emphasis on improving composition and learning to read the natural landscape with the goal of creating images that reflect your own personal photographic style.
Processing and Critique Sessions
The focus of this workshop is to get out and take photographs. Processing and critique sessions will be tailored to the group and scheduled as time permits. This flexibility will allow us to accommodate changes in the weather or lighting conditions and maximize field time.
