The Exposure Triangle Updated
A more modern way to look at the exposure triangle is shown here.
In this diagram each of the three elements, ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed, are shown with the corresponding effect on the final image.
Aperture
A shallow depth of field results in a blurry foreground and background, whereas greater depth of field results in more overall sharpness.
Shutter Speed
Choosing the correct shutter speed can prevent image blur from camera movement or subject movement.
ISO
A low ISO will give better image quality. High ISOs will introduce “noise” and degrade the image quality.
